How does your link look when someone shares it?
See the preview LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Slack and WhatsApp can build from your page's Open Graph and X card tags, what is missing, and copy the tags to add.
How it works
The check requests the page once, reads the Open Graph tags (og:), the X card tags (twitter:), the title and the meta description from its <head>, then requests the image to see that it loads, its size and its pixel dimensions. It does not run JavaScript, and neither do most link previewers, so a tag added by a script in the browser is not seen here either. No AI model is involved and the result is not saved.
Which tag each app reads first: LinkedIn, Facebook and WhatsApp read Open Graph; X reads its own twitter: tags and falls back to Open Graph; Slack reads both and falls back to the page title and meta description. The limits quoted come from the apps' own pages, as read on 2026-10-23:
- Meta for Developers: images in link shares: At least 200 × 200 pixels; 1200 × 630 recommended; under 600 × 315 shown smaller; up to 8 MB.
- LinkedIn Help: make your website shareable on LinkedIn: At least 1200 × 627 pixels, ratio 1.91 : 1, up to 5 MB; narrower than 401 pixels shows as a thumbnail.
- X Developer Platform: cards markup: twitter: tags first, Open Graph as the fallback; the card type comes from twitter:card.
- The Open Graph protocol: og:title, og:type, og:image and og:url are the basic tags; the first og:image is preferred.
